My Story

I am a single female with two children who has left an abusive relationship.

I have been renovating my house since separating from my partner. I’ve completely built the internal workings of an extension by myself.

Temporarily, I had a bathroom sink in the room that will be the kitchen and purchased an industrial sink to replace it from someone on Facebook. When I arrived, the sink hadn’t been removed, and I had to remove and replumb the pipes and taps.

I brought the sink home, which had been used in a cafe-type situation, and scrubbed it down in the front garden because it was disgusting. Last night, I fitted the sink into my house where the old sink would be and disposed of the old bathroom sink I was using.

This evening, the lady messaged me asking me to bring back the sink because her shop landlord had initially agreed for her to sell all the catering equipment but had not meant the catering sink. She now says her landlord is threatening to kick her out if she does not put the sink back.

She wants me to unplumb the sink, leaving me with no sink, return the sink to her, and put it back, which she said she will refund me the money that I paid her and some petrol.
